I also tried using the Generic PostScript Printer, but I have no way to specify the size of the media to print on. Under the ‘Use:’ option I looked and tried: ‘Auto Select’, ‘Select Software…’ and ‘Other’ none gave me any Zebra, ZXP,CUPS, DZ7CG-03-02-00-00, or anything related to the printer. Unfortunately, when I add the printer, in System Preferences>Printers & Scanners, I see the printer name but I only get the chance to add a Generic PostScript Printer driver/software for the printer, which leads me to believe that no suitable drivers are available. I also understand that CUPS drivers are installed on OSX by default. The ZXP Series 8 is connected to the Mac via USB, I could connected to the network if necessary (it has an ethernet port). I’m primarily a designer so diving into that type of world would require a time commitment which is not available at the moment. The only directions I found are quite technical and require the compiling of the code. The problem is that I can’t find any documentation which allows me to install the needed CUPS driver. Needless to say I’m not to please to find out that the manufacturer never offered a mac driver for this professional printer. I had to probe to get the specific driver compatible with the unit (DZ7CG-03-02-00-00) and related firmware (FZ7MG.03.00.00). I contacted the manufacturer who told me to install the cups printer drivers. I’m trying to connect a badge printer, ZXP Series 8, to a MacPro running on Sierra.
